Workshop on PDEs: Modelling,
Analysis and Numerical Simulation

Granada, January 8-16

PDE-MANS Winter School (January 8-10)

The school will be held from January 8 to 10 and will consist of four courses, each of 4 hours. They will be advanced courses, aimed at early-stage researchers. The courses will be given by:

  1. Ulrik Fjordholm (University of Oslo). Computing measure-valued and statistical solutions of hyperbolic conservation laws.
  2. Gero Friesecke (Technical University of Munich). Crystallization in classical particle systems.
  3. Eva Löcherbach (Université Paris 1) Probabilistic models for networks of spiking neurons
  4. Sylvia Serfaty (New York University / Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences) Mean field limits for Coulomb-type interactions.

In order to register for the school please send an email to Sebastian Throm <This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.> with the following information:

  1. Last name, name
  2. Affiliation
  3. Email address

  5. If you would like to request funding of accommodation to attend the school, please specify this and also attach a

There will be a small number of grants to cover accommodation of students attending the school, and preference will be given to researchers at an early stage and with no other sources of funding. If you request funding, we will contact you as soon as possible in order to confirm whether we will be able to cover it. News: the applications for accommodation are now closed. We have contacted all candidates with the decision. If you applied and you have not received any communication about this, please contact the organizers.
